For our anniversary this year, I left it to my guy to choose what we would do, but added just one caveat -- I didn't want to go exploring and getting all grimy. So where did he take me? Alcatraz! That crafty bastard. I didn't mind though, I got to go out on the Bay, and got some nice shots.

Fourth of July weekend was spent out at Mono Lake, where we HAD to go check out Bodie. The Subaru got a long overdue workout on the dirt roads, and I got a dose of heatstroke for my efforts. Silly high desert environment.

Took a trip over to Niles in search of one location, and found another.

These are a bit older, taken with my Exilim point and shoot out at the Alameda Naval Base. We called the number; it was busy.

And finally, a few pics from a random jaunt through Gilroy and Morgan Hill. We had to park in horse crap, slop through mud, and dodge the wheelbarrow pushing weirdo on the other side of the building to check the first place out. The second place looked like farm workers quarters... I can't imagine the temps in a tin shack in the middle of summer. Ugh.
