.... - 1991 USSR. object was used to spy on european countries it contained 3 antenas RT-32 is the bigest, was used to colect data- RT-16 same only smaler. And 3rd antena was used to send data to Kreml (Moscow) it`s no longer there. Near by town "Zvaigznite" and antenas was 2nd largest military object in teritory of Latvia. 1991-1994 Russian Federation. 1994 - russian troops left object. Object was unknown to civilians until 1993.
Today town is abandoned only antenas are used for scientific research.
Town was self suficient, it had Hospital, Sports complex, 300 apartment for higher ranking military staff, baracks for regular soldiers and much more.

it is used for SETI so control of it is very strict now, but you can still see inside of telescope - or try to bribe guard, or ... Object is in the midle of forest, so it will take long time untill police will arive.
This pictures are from 2010 we didnt try to enter dish this time. Security stoped us in town but all wath he did , asked us to not demolish anything.
