They're stock shots, so most have no audio. You can preview the small versions online, but to download the high-res versions you have to sign up for an account, "order" the video, go through the checkout procedure, then wait a couple hours for them to retrieve and process the video and send you an email with the download links. It's free and it's well worth the wait.
Here's a short sample from 1957 showing Phillips Square, the Turcot Roundhouse, and the Laurentian Hotel. It's a 200 MB QuickTime file and the server doesn't stream the large size files, so you have to "Save As" before viewing.
