hey clement, I just got the audio recordings on to the computer... the ones from CBR turned out crazy... I dont know, I think the new pipes they were installing may be responsible for a lot of that bass we were hearing. The bass didn't really get recorded as I suspected however it still sounds insane... lo-fi because of cassettes, but still cool.

not yet, what I want to do is have a look at the characteristics of those sounds on the various meters I have on the computer to see exactly what frequencies they cover... I wish I had some sort of mic that picked up very low end sounds... some of that bass at CBR was moving my clothing.

the ones I took last time are quite lo-fi, it turns out I was recording on "double" mode on this tape recorder... which essentially makes the tape roll half the speed giving you double the record time... I thought it made the tape roll at double the speed giving better quality. So the quality was not to great. On the other hand I have some stuff somewhere that was recorded using a pair of condenser mics which the quality is very nice. Maybe I will sort through that and make you a pack of samples out of sounds that I did not use.

not crap, but not hi-fi... like you can tell it was done on cassette... which I dont think he wants. CJB is also into producing music.

One thing was, the stuff we recorded at CBR was okay because it was on the normal mode... but the switch must have gotten flicked in my pocket on the way to the silos so that stuff came out less clear. It is still neat. I brought some onto my computer. I will have to send you some of the stuff also.
