|  | | | So I'm from california and flew out to colorado for this event called Doors Open Denver. When I was there I also met up with drewski from the Four Corners forum. He is a great guy. I was really wanting to go see some crazy stuff and he fulfilled my dreams. TITAN ONE MISSILE SILO!!! Actually I should say silos. We were in one but he drove me past 3 or 4 more. There scattered like cattle in that area. 7 in a 50 mile radious. If you are not quite sure what a titan one site looks like it looks like this.
45,000 Sq Ft under ground in the pitch black. Probably the coolest thing I've been able to see yet.
1. So this is where we went in. They had to pull out this huge tank because it was leaking fuel in to the soil.
2. This was an entrance to a nother one. If you go to http://www.missilebases.com/ you can buy this site for 2.8 mill. If you want an asbestos coated house.
3. This is the main entrance.
4. These were used to position the rocket correctly.
5. This is the main entryway under ground. About 2 storeys tall
6. One of the many long tunnels in the complex

9. This is one of the blast doors. About 2 feet thick of straight steel. The amazing thing is the hinges were built so well that i could still move them with my pinky.

12. This is the nasty asbestos water that is flooding most of the junctions.

And that was just the beginning to my day. We went n at about 10 and was out by about 1. After that he drove us around and showed me where a couple more silos were. We also went for a drive just to find things. I found an old abandoned railroad, grain silo, school, and then another silo.

Thanks. You should come next time. Im thinking of getting a group from this forum to go meet the Four Corners forum. I think it would be a fun idea.
