Tunnels/Drainage in Tenerife + add your unexplained happenings or weird stories

Greetings my fellow urban explorers!

These are the few pictures I could take from my agonizing digi cam. Sorry for the quality.

Long story short: I know this place from many years back, it used to be a flea market (on one side, pictures unavailable yet) and slowly become a drainage system for letting rain water and sewage flow directly to the beach.

I have zero experience on drains, they scare the living Hell out of me plus I don't really know too many around my areas, thus I cannot explain why the hell this drainage tunnels are so high.

I took the pictures at night since it was the only moment I could slip off schedule too (but anyways I do explore at night, I know it's foolish but I like it that way).

I will take in some of these days other pictures of the general area during day time so you can have a good idea of the place.

Some pictures are missing since are not on this computer at the moment.

I will now post the pictures, and then I'll tell what I know about this place's lore and my experience.

-These are some graffiti before getting into the tunnels.

Ok, so here is what has happened to me during the visit and years before.

1) approximately at 14 years of age:

I spotted the place while riding my bicycle and thought it would be great to do what comes natural to an explorer, but the entrance of the tunnels were barred wih dilapidated couches, sofas and a small improvised campfire (three cinderblocks connected and burning paper on it). It had become a shelter for hobos, obviously from the presence of four to five of them visible to me.

I shrugged the idea but anyhow I passed from the same place a couple of weeks later. This time I saw the same furniture, the lit campfire and the hobos's wares scattered around the place. As if they had to leave in a hurry.

Foolish of me I approached the place dismounting my bicycle and pulling it along me. An inhuman growl came out of the place as soon as I was close to the campfire.

You see, it was not a growl you can expect from an animal. The depth of the voice was human but the tone of it was just unexpected, not... Not normal.
I ran so fast I realized moments later I had been legging it while holding my bike over my head like an idiot.

During the next couple of years, reports of dead vagabonds have showed up in the news. This shouldn't be of interest or enough concern if it wasn't for the frequency and supposedly the way they were killed (the news insisted on that they were murdered but it wouldn't give a clue of how, and blamed it on in-fights with other homeless people). I didn't pay too much attention until 3 days ago.

2) That night, about three days ago:

This time I had completely forgotten what happened that day (I mean, c'mon, someone or something just yelled at me and I beat the record of running while cradling a bike like a newborn and not having a bowel malfunction).
A friend of mine dared me to go to some creepy place and requested pics as proof. I thought of the tunnels as the only place close to home.

I approached the entrance and while I was fitting my headlamp a flickering light appeared at the end of the tunnel. A weak streak of yellowish light (in other words, a goddamn tochlight). That startled me so much I pulled my knife of its sheath and managed to rip my pants a little bit and almost lost my gonads with the sweep.

As I stood there like an idiot realizing that, in fact, the light there was from human nature I raised my voice asking permission to enter. I was rewarded with an invitation from the hobo living there. We had small chat, gave him a 5 euro note and exchanged relevant info on shelters and social care (I really hope it helps him).

3) Conclusion: Just as I got home I send the pics to my friend, she liked them and I froze on the chair remembering the news and the inhuman scream yelled at me back in the days.

If you have played the STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl videogame, the scream was very similar to that of the first encounter with a Controller creature. For those who don't know what I am talking, look at this link:

http://www.youtube...rc&feature=related

The first bellowing is similar to the scream I heard, but not so bestial at all. It was definitely human.

4) My theories:

Humanoid mister? Mutant? Hungry freak of nature? <--- Please don't get me started. It's just silly.

What I hold for certain in my mind is that, for sure, all the other hobos had gone on their daily route of panhandling while one of them guarded their camp. Since the yelling came from the deep parts of the tunnel I can only guess a freshly awakened hobo saw me and couldn't articulate a mere "Oi! Get the fuggaout 'ere!".

Either that, or I caught the poor guy showering/taking a shit and was surprised as much angered. I know I would also roar Tyranosaurus Rex style if I'm caught in such predicament.

That, and that I was easily scared at 14 years I guess... Now I don't get so easily startled, no sir, I just freak out and try to castrate before any CHUD tries to get me

And now I ask you people, what are your stories?

that would have definitely scared the shite out of me lol.. there is a creepy abandoned barn near my house, that many people have seen weird lights in, felt like they were being watched, or heard someone run towards them if they were in it!!! just going near the place, the air feels thicker and colder!

The worst has to have been the evil chuckle I heard from the woods near my house, I was outside in front of my house, looking at the road late at night, and I heard a sound like someone dragging a pickaxe down the road, and stopping like they were using it like a walking stick, so I went up on the front porch, and from the woods off to my right I just hear "heh heh heh" but like the most evil, gritty voice you could imagine! I went inside..

stuff like that and seeing dark shadows like silhouettes of people near my house make me hate living here!

Hopefully others have some freaky stories to share!

Holy shit man! While I was reading your story I casually saw your living area. Now I know I am not going to Canada Strange as it is, whenever I meet someone from that place they tell me about weird places and stuff I'd really wish to go, but reading this just make my nads shrink in fear.

that's funny, maybe us crazy Canadians are just more sensitive to that stuff? Trust me you have nothing to fear in Canada, we do have weird happenings, but not everywhere! The barn I spoke of it is believed someone was murdered in there, and the negative energy reaches out from the place... it's really f***** up and I hate living near the thing, but in the city I usually don't have problems with weird stuff like that, only at home, and out in the country

or you could bring holy water... and garlic... and silver bullets, just to be safe. lol

hopefully others will have some good stuff to add here!
