Myself and another MUNI fan decided yesterday to do a test run of MUNI's new "Photo Policy". All and All things went pretty well, but I will say the policy has a few area that are pretty grey. As time goes on one will find out just how well things are gonna work.

The first image in the lead in staring Mel Gibson's EDGEofDARKNESS with the OG sitting on the bench wearing shades in the subway....CLASSIC

Enjoy

Sweet!

I lived there for 7 years and maybe rode Muni 5 times. Love #3 a lot for some reason.

Nothing said about monopods.

"The general public is permitted to use personal, handheld photography and
videography equipment on all Muni in-service transit vehicles and on publicly accessible"

Here is where it gets interesting. The above quote is at the very begining. Pretty cut and dry. Handheld

"• Large cameras, photo or video equipment or ancillary equipment such as
lighting, tripods, cables, etc. are prohibited.
When using photography or videography equipment on SFMTA vehicles or property"

Then is goes on to say this. Now what defines a "large camera" medium format? 4x5? A 35mm with a tele??? Seems a bit grey to me.

I'm not attempting to buy into this to much, nor start a huge discussion but
I'd be interested to see if a monopod works out...please keep me posted.

places that got funded with tax payer dollars then sold off to private interests imho really should not have a photography ban whatsoever.

The words "private property" have no meaning when the funding source is traced
