Is this place accessible enough to make a night trip to and shoot under the full moon? Totally awesome place, one of the best ive seen in our desert.

Thinking the same thing. It's deep back in there but a pretty strait shot so a night trip wouldn't be a problem as long as you're very very carefull in the suv. Lots of ditches to avoid but solid dirt road. A 2x4 can make it easily. Just be prepared for the worse, just in case.

I knew you'd start looking fast I left enough clues on here for it to easily be figured out.

Thanks everyone for all the great comments. It was such a joy exploring this place and am so happy to have shared the find with people who can appreciate it. This place will be our ground zero/camp site for those attending the mojave expedition in two weeks.

Edit: Going off a tip from a 4x4 rider we bumped into and after numerous google map searches I may have found another ghost town four miles from this one. From arial images it appears to be 3-4 times the size. Anyone with a 4x4 wanna scout it with me. I have no idea what the terrain is like and would like to play it safe.

Interesting, I found this town on my last Mojave trip, much in the same way you did. Didn't shoot much since I was alone on a new moon and running solely on caffeine. Great pics though!!! Did you happen across the freaking creepy bio-hazard building???

Check out my photo blog!

Sure did! I made sure to avoid going into that mess. It's in the lower left corner of #13. Did you happen to check out the camp 4-5 miles north. I found it on satellite last night and plan on scouting it out in the next few days.
