|  | | | Last sunday, me and my UE partner Manikpc went to do some "urban" exploration on the countryside. We went to explore São Jorge, a small vilage located on the north west part of the island. This village is known for its agricultural fields and many abandoned small houses. Demographics shows a decrease in the population, so we knew we would find a lot of places to explore. The building pictured here is recent and it was not entirely built. It was abandoned recently due to unknown reasons. As you can see in the exterior pics, and judging from its architecture, we can assume its not an habitacional building. This building has three floors including a garage where we found an old mercedes filled with dust. Judging from the diverse materials we found inside the building, it was probably a warehouse owned by the city hall. The entry was very difficult, because it wall boarded up with metal, wood and even ciment. We couldnt climb the windows because they were very high so we spent half an hour trying to bypass a small passage that was boarded with a plank. With much persistance we entered the building and spent there three hours. The following pics depicts what we found.

I believe it was stolen. If you notice, the trunk has been forced with a crowbar.

lol! I didn`t expect to laugh reading our post 
The most important thing is that you can enjoy a bit of what we are trying to explore here in our island! It´s a bit hard to do UE here, not so many abandoned places, we lack some equipment also (tripod, camera...) and we keep on doing this on a 2 people basis, but we enjoy it a lot and we can clearly see that we are improving with time (this forum has been crucial)!

hey. this is my first post. i found out about urban exploration recently and thought it was very interesting. i was convinced, even before searching, that there would not be any explorers in Madeira, but i was wrong! i'm from Madeira too, although i divide my time between the mainland and the island.
as for the building, that was an interesting find. its all very typical of rural madeira, except for the stolen car. im curious as to how you got into the building. that seems like one of the funnest parts of UE.

This is indeed a very interesting and revealing spot!
It took us maybe 20 to 30 minutes (or more) just to find the perfect place to enter the warehouse, because the front wall is close to a road and most of the possible entrances were semi-closed or semi-blocked with everything you could imagine i think we cannot see the entrance we used in any of the photos!
