I'm from here, and I'm new to UE. I was wondering if anyone knew any cool abandoned places around here! I've found a few but they're all still occupied. BALLS

if you are looking for abandoned industrial buildings, apartment complexes or hospitals I would try the local newspapers website. just search using the keyword "abandoned." you will find places and gain some knowledge on the place you are about to explore, i.e. whether you will need to protect yourself from asbestos. just a reminder that the news you will find will not always be good news. I have explored abandoned apartment complexes that I found reading an article about a man being shot there. just simply googling "abandoned portland maine" wont give you shit so i feel your pain. there are tons of resources out there all you have to to do is think on it.

There isn't squat in Portland. The Portland Press website is definitely your best friend. Lewiston, Auburn, and Augusta have it all.

Just a word of advice, asking for locations on here will never get you anything, but since this is the rookie forum I see people are being kind.
