I just released several more, previously unseen pics from our 2 trips to Neverland:

http://scotthaefne...e/Neverland+Ranch/

Enjoy!
Scott

Thanks for sharing what you got I think they are excellent both artistically and technical. The point of this original thread was just to announce the interior shots of the mansion released on Tmz. Not to take away from yours or the other guys photos which are far superior quality wise to the ones released of the mansion. However since then the property owners allowed a media field day into the mansion, Pool house and all other living spaces of the property so Ap news photogs got some much better shots than the ones Tmz released. I don't know what strings Harvey levine pulls but in this whole thing Tmz has been first to break all aspects of the unfolding story with great accuracy I might add as well.

I'm flattered to hear that I outdid the AP

Thanks guys.

In regards to being inside the mansion.... total urban legend. If someone did it, then where are the pictures?

The ones that were posted are still up all over the place here and abroad but they were all of the grounds and rides. There are still plenty of threads here discussing trying to get in the mansion and security etc. Even ones that have two of the people in this thread trying to elude that they had done it or know someone who did in them and sure allot of people talked about it but no one got inside the mansion on the property. If there was anyone who got in there would be photos. There's no legitimate reason to not show them. I don't think any taggers would visit the place and I'm quite sure a scrapper wouldn't bother to show up and I'm fairly sure that the police in California wouldn't spend taxpayers money launching an investigation into alleged trespassing that they couldn't prove you were there anyway without the camera that shot them some fingerprints dna and maybe some nice shots of you swinging from the stairwell bannisters with your face exposed waving hello hehe

First of all, everyone is right, there is most likely security there.

When we went it was Feb. 08 and there were guards. Actively patrolling. Then someone else on this forum when the night after us and saw even more patrols. The "easy access" days were over then. And what is the point in anyone going now? There is nothing left. But still, taggers are morons and will tag whatever they want, just to say they did.

With all the threads about people wanting to go there now, I guess no one paid attention to the article about all the rides, statues, and pretty much everything else being hauled out a long time ago. There is not much left, and all the fans wishing that the place will be restored, well, they are out of luck. It will never be the same.

Leave the place be. Be glad you can see the photos that are shared. The photographers didn't have to share anything in the first place.

It's looking pretty packed these days... with visitors.

Michael Jackson fans stick it out at Neverland Ranch

They say they don't believe there will be no public viewing or burial there. Local residents worry that the crowds will never cease and that the estate will become a Graceland-like landmark.

By Ari B. Bloomekatz

Reporting from Los Olivos, Calif. — Ever since Michael Jackson died, Al Williams' family had begged him to take them to Neverland Ranch. And each day, Williams, 42, a roofer from San Bernardino, said no, that there were too many people crowded outside Neverland's gates.

On Thursday night, he finally gave in.

Williams, his wife, Josie, and their two children woke up at 4 a.m. Friday and piled into their burgundy Scion for the roughly three-hour drive to Jackson's fabled Santa Barbara County hideaway.

When they arrived at the two-lane, winding Figueroa Mountain Road in the hills of Los Olivos, they passed news trucks with huge satellite dishes parked on both sides of the street and vendors selling commemorative T-shirts and bottled water, and joined throngs of fans who wanted to pay tribute to the late pop star.

The Williams family took a picture in front of Neverland's black gates and Josie Williams, 40, a child-care worker, said, "Just knowing that there's where he was living, it was exciting to be there."

Since Jackson's death June 25 in Los Angeles, dozens of journalists and hundreds of fans have traveled to his 2,600-acre estate.

At Corner House Coffee in Los Olivos, clerks kept a list of countries journalists had come from -- including Belgium, Germany, Poland and Venezuela -- to poach their wireless Internet and eat their sandwiches.

While CNN's Larry King interviewed Jackson's older brother Jermaine on the ranch grounds Thursday, fans left flowers and wrote messages such as "Michael, You gave us Magic, Love, Dreams!!! I'll love you eternally" on large whiteboards.

Some pitched tents and sat on fold-out chairs watching the action while others posted signs that said "Your Mexican fans will never forget you," "Gone too soon" and "Spain loves you."

"We brush our teeth right here," said Belen Morales of Lincoln Heights, who was standing on a slope of grass near the ranch Friday.

Belen, 14, her older brother and a friend drove to the ranch in a 1988 pickup truck and arrived at 2 a.m. Wednesday.

They said they did not believe media reports that there would be no public viewing or burial at the ranch.

"We're still thinking that they're going to bring him here," she said.

(A spokesman for the ranch said Neverland would close its gates to the media Friday evening and conduct no events until after Tuesday's memorial service.)

Nearby, 22-year-old Jason Osborne of Santa Maria sold white T-shirts for $15 that said "I paid my respects at Neverland." Osborne said he was there to "make a buck, of course, but I want to be part of it somehow. Give people something to remember."

Mike Ortiz, 34, a cook between jobs from Lompoc who was wearing a black Michael Jackson T-shirt, said he and his wife planned to stay outside the ranch "until it's all over."

"Being here is priceless," he said.

Many Los Olivos residents worried that the crowds would never cease and that Neverland would be transformed into a Graceland-like landmark for Jackson's fans.

"It would be nice if it faded into obscurity," said John Bennett, 56, a contractor who has lived in Los Olivos for more than two decades. "If they turn it into Graceland, it'll be a mess. . . . Can you imagine all the traffic?"

John Maier, 64, was riding his bicycle when he stopped outside the ranch Friday morning.

"This is our local ride, but there's usually not this much traffic," said Maier, a retired mailman who moved to Solvang three years ago. "The thought of it being a Graceland wasn't good to me. I moved here because it's a small town and I'd like it to stay that way."

Not all residents were upset about the idea of a landmark dedicated to Jackson in the town.

Fred Lambert, 65, a retired operating engineer who has lived at the end of Alta Street for three decades, said he visited Graceland about two years ago and had such a good experience that he wanted Jackson's fans to be able to experience something similar.

"It'd be all right," he said. "I went to Elvis' and it was pretty awesome."

Lambert said one of his sons worked on the Neverland Ranch for a short time after high school and that Jackson has "brought a lot of good to the valley."

Thomas J. Barrack, chairman and chief executive of Colony Capital, which owns the ranch, said in a telephone interview this week that there are no immediate plans for Neverland except to continue its restoration.

"At the moment, our only objective is the polishing and restoration of this Hope Diamond," Barrack said. "The burden we have is to provide stewardship to this timeless asset and an elegant and timely transition."

There are a number of reasons actually, the first thing that comes to mind is a civil lawsuit. Urban exploration doesn't have to involve publicly posting photos and stories.

But I agree with Tunnelbug, it's urban legend. Afterall, I haven't seen any photos.

Glad to see you finally got off the "It was done" wagon.
As far as a civil lawsuit goes over interior shots of the mansion leaked it would never happen unless you privately turned a profit somewhere. Without that there is nothing for anyone to want a piece of. Even if there were a profit being turned on those particular shots it would be a wild expensive venture on the parties bringing the case to court to prove they were obtained illegally and even if they did there would be nowhere to go after that for them and you wouldn't go to jail from a civil suit either. They are for money not jail terms. The best they could hope for would be to seek an injunction to stop the publishing and then try to scare you into an out of court settlement in which you share your profits with them. In the court the question becomes on what grounds. Well there would be no grounds as the mansion isn't covered under copyright. A nice place to start for information on this would be http://www.webloca...ey/ca/law/c03.html It's California specific. You can extrapolate from that link and it won't take you long to figure out a lawsuit would not be likely. If you weren't caught in the act your pretty much clear.

Scratching all that above do you really think that if you did indeed get some inside shots of the mansion urbex style and there was anything in them newsworthy that you couldn't sell them to any media outlet who could and would protect you using the 1st amendment rights afforded to them or under a proxy through a lawyer ?

Do you yourself fear any real repercussions for the photos that appear on your website for sale which many of were obtained through trespassing ? Please don't try and say that at all your locations you were given permission. I've been in this a long time and I didn't start yesterday.I currently hold more than one press pass from News media organizations.

As far as the pics that tunnelbug and Scott have if I were them I'd be on Lulu.com right now publishing a book and starting a google adwords campaign for it. They have nothing to fear with those photos. Properties built prior to December 1,1990 enjoy no copyright protection and everything they show was publicly viewable so even the artwork statues etc all fall within fair use.

You can have a look at real information here http://www.copyrig....html#architecture

Try and help fellow explorers and photographers with real world information and possibilities not just making vague statements from a stance that your determined to have a last word on that you ultimately end up flip flopping on anyway.

The bottom line in this urbex uber elite world is you don't belive it unless you can see it and in the real world if you have doubt about anything that could adversely affect you don't use speculation in forums including mine ;) Go and see a real attorney for advice !

Not really. I was just mocking Tunnelbug...

Speaking of, Tunnelbug just posted a link [on another thread] to his Bearings blog where he talks about his experiences out at Neverland. It's a great read...

I can think of several reasons...respect for MJ and his family, privacy issues, and not wanting to provoke a potential lawsuit. The mansion was still full of his personal belongings until fairly recently...I think they emptied it out just before the public auction was set to take place a few months ago (which MJ stopped at the 11th hour).

But I agree w/ Tunnelbug and Amy...until we see actual photos, I guess we'll just never know for sure
