No, I didn't even know about the Victoria Park Race Course.. I used to think that there was nothing to see here in Adelaide, but lately I seem to be seeing a lot of houses sitting abandoned, a few firedamaged, there is one not too far from me, but its boarded up tight, and right behind a salvo shop. It has corrugated iron over the windows with DO NOT ENTER - DANGER spray painted all over them, and it even still has some of the MFS caution tape around it. I want in there.
I didnt realise that there was any other people from Adelaide on here, it's nice to see

Adelaide doesn't have much, the problem is the speed at which stuff gets demolished soon after its abandoned. I'm kicking myself over missing Vic Park, but myself and another local explorer here have a few places earmarked for further investigation. At the moment though, its mostly drains we're exploring but like I said we have a few topsides on the radar for the near future.

There are a few explorers in Adelaide, but mostly scattered across the net and I haven't seen anyone from Adelaide on here (UER) for ages.

Abandoned houses can be cool to explore, especially when they still really have the atmosphere of past occupants or little personal artifacts lying around that give you a glimpse into other people's lives. The only downside is an increased potential to run into squatters and ferals.

You may think you can fly.....but you'd better not try it.

I haven't run into squatters or ferals.. yet Though I am pretty cautious .. There was this house on Richmond Road that was abandoned because of a fire, and it had been sitting there for a fairly long time, still had all its stuff inside it, and by the time I had finally worked up the courage to go into it and take a look around, I got there and it was in the process of being knocked down.. I was kicking myself, I mean it was there for soooooo long, and I procrastinated and missed out. I dont get much time to explore because of my boys, but I sure do enjoy it when I can I have dreams of finding a glorious abandoned house full of mementos.. .. Im still waiting
Have you been into the Julia Farr Building, in ummmm.. Fullarton I think it is.. I drove past it ages ago.. is it still there?? I think that one would be interesting.

Hey there! From what I understand that land is being reclaimed to become part of "Edinburgh Parks", which will become an industrial area for both defence and non-defence related companies.

Nice pics BTW. I'm always on the lookout for some interesting locations in Adelaide to explore.

i really think your over estimating the care factor of golfers. carry a camera in your hand or around your neck.. no one with a camera could be up to anything bad ( I've found it to be invaluable when exploring )...even say it to people who are close enough to hear " just out taking photos, great old houses here! "

golfers " i dun see a girl with camera enter dem old houses "

cops "really, we must stop everything we are doing and rush to stop her"

*this scenario highly unlikely
