| | | Good find, although all I'm getting is that it's closing it's doors to new patients for now. Damn misleading news article title, was excited. Still looking like it will die a slow but certain death if things continue the way they are. Definitely one to keep an eye on!

| | | California explorers should start keeping their eyes on local hospitals. There's a law requiring them all to meet stronger seismic standards and a lot are going to be closing in the next few years rather than retrofit or rebuild. I don't think it's going to be as great as the last wave of military base closures, but should be a growth industry for UE.

Number one thing I hate about SoCal. No Hospitals. And the ones we DO have are all impossible to access without getting very, very busted. Lame.

| | | In the local county seat (Basically the only town of any worth, population 20,000) there's an impressive hospital. I don't think it will be shutting down at any point however, because it's the only ER with a 75 mile coverage. There is a very nifty spot right across the street from the ER though, next to an industrial complex. Way back when, before the new urgent care facility was built on the north side of the hospital, they had a two story clinic which is no longer being used as such. I believe it is being used for storage of surplus equipment, and is possibly being renovated. I'm definitely going to keep my eye on that one.
