Very nice, Dr. Jones. I wish I could have been along on that one.

A pull-tab Coca-Cola? Damn! I haven't seen one of those since the early 80's. Awesome shape.

Cool site. Surprisingly free of graffiti. Any idea why?

I would think that place would be tagged to high hell like Battery Barlow Saxton.

abh to the halo engine. its all about the half life 2 engine.

ON a side note here is an interesting story about pop cans.

After WWII My grandfather Pete Who was Underwater Demolition during the war.

We anyway after the war he worked fro continental can in San leandro ca. During his time at continental can Pete Invented the press that made the seamless can as well as the modern day soda pop top.

I cant help but thing of my Grandfather Pete ever time i pop open a can of soda or hold a seamless can in my hand.

On a side not Pete was a bad ass even right before his death at the age of 89 he still had a hand shake like a mack truck.

Why my boy those are the metal anchors that where one time used to anchor giant iron rails in the ceiling. The rails where used to transport large calibre artillery round threw the case mates and up to the gun emplacements. INdeed

Were there any slides in those Kodak envelopes? I found a whole bunch of those at Southwest Marine in the Port of LA a while back with pics of warships being repaired and stuff. It was cool.

I love any pic of fire control stations. Nice!
