We dont make anyone bus anywhere. We treat our fellow explorers quite well, they just have to pitch in for fuel and laughs

Dont forget, Cheeseburgers too dave !!

How nice of you guys. I will gladly contribute to the fuel/cheeseburgers fund, although my vote stays on city exploring due to lack of camping equipment.

Wowser,second get together I can't make.

Well hope you all have fun anyway.

I can still offer ideas if you care to listen.

1. Try wardriving around Los Angeles for things to do. There are plenty of semi-abandoned structures in the area south of L.A. near the Staples Center.

2. There's an abandoned warehouse off the 5 and the 91 that hasn't been touched yet as far as I've seen. Though without breaking glass and drawing attention to yourself it would be an almost impossible entry.

3. Is the Hilltop House in Apple Valley still around? That's a really cool place if still abandoned. 1 hour from L.A.

4. Just drive. It seems to me that people always want to go for the big scores and that's why I find L.A. exploration to be somewhat stagnant compared to the East Coast explorers.

The El Toro bases and huge places seem to be the only places people want to explore. Everyone's looking for that killer huge megacomplex to get their name out there. Then, once a big place is found it's done to death by everyone here.

Why not, for a change, just go someplace completely random and when you see something abandoned, go inside? Who knows, maybe you'll be the first one inside. I'd much rather see a boring photo of an abandoned Ice Cream factory in Vernon than to see the same shots of a Jail along the L.A. river that everyone has already seen a dozen times before.

People need to just get out there and explore. I think what I see most of the time is people just exploring the same old spots. But yet I drive through L.A. sometimes and I can see 20 or 30 abandoned buildings on my way home. Some of them look boring sure, but in my opinion, beats doing the same places all over again.

Hell I bet if you all just took a cab to Skid Row and ask a couple of vagrants about some abandoned weird shit they've seen, you'd find some good spots for the price of a $5 bottle of Thunderbird Wine.

Anyhow, I've been out of the scene for a while so who am I to talk? Maybe when I get off my lazy butt and start exploring more then I can have an opinion.. =)

Why hate on Jinx? Ever since you were caught red handed by the LAPD, you've been quite the local ass. Your words and actions don't match, big man. Speaking of one-up-men-ship . . .

No its more like after the fact we all realized you couldnt explore without running around like a moron with his head cut off and doing really stupid things like driving your car on a high speed test track in front of a test car when everyone suggested you stick with the group....thats about when i started acting like an ass (to you only). No need to defend anyone, nobody was even talking to you.

Simmer down now.

Dave - I need to hear the whole story, driving on a high speed test track sounds fun and something I very well could enjoy.

Dave, bottom line is that you're physically unfit to explore many of the places that the rest of us can enjoy. I wish you could run (or drive, for that matter) with us, I really do, but that's not the case. Cheers big man.

I beg to differ.

me and dave are both pretty good sized guys.

we took the stairs to the top of a 15 story building without stopping except to explore the floors, never once a complaint out of either one of us. And the day before that we were going up and down hills all day long in rocky terrain.

the only thing we prolly cant do, Is fit through a window !

What places can we not enjoy ?

What places can i not enjoy the rest of you can? Your uberl337 empty-run-of-the-mill Levitz warehouse, El Toro where ive been everywhere, LAXT that i did with you guys up and down the tunnels, etc?

You talking about driving? Are you kidding me? I 4wheel all the frikin time and my last hobby was time attack at Buttonwillow and Willow Springs raceway. Not to mention i havent had a moving violation in 8 years, or any sort of accidents since i was 19...and i drive every single day. Im not sure what you were trying to pull out of your ass with those comments, but fail.

Skelly,

Is Dave the only one who can talk smack? He sure talks the talk, but walking the walk is a different story with Dave; that's all I'm saying. It was his size, and his flagrant disregard for others that got him and his party stopped and sighted by the police. He's quick to fire back with some incoherent & poorly spelled response, but he is wrong for picking on others (see Jinx). If I'm out of line, I do apologize.

Best Regards

I dont know who told you that, but its false. We were all seen walking across the street by a rubberneck woman driving by in a minivan when we were entering you know where. The cops came, i told everyone to stay where they were instead of running and making things worse. Your stories are all mixed up, and you are just being a pompous little snot.

PS. I apologize for my supposed "incoherent & poorly spelled response". Im sorry you fail to have a sense of humor and fail to see i purposely left out punctuation. I dont see what i spelled poorly though. Oh wait, i didnt. Its just you saying pompous little things again.

Ok so we got busted by LAPD at the port(which was my fault more than anything because I was the one lagging behind, it was just bad luck) WHO CARES? Nothing bad came of it.

If something someone says offends you, let them know in a courteous manner and if they keep doing it ignore them. Replying to peoples posts by being sarcastic, rude, or making jokes about spelling doesn't help. We all fuck up at one time or another and have our defects.

People need to just get out there and explore.

LAXT is over and done with. Let's learn from our mistakes and all agree that we should be professional and cautious about any environment that we explore.

Let's focus on our love of exploring and the next event... not on past drama.

snordhol: keep a cool on what you say. I frankly don't wish to read anymore remarks against anyone who is physically unable to do as much as the rest of the community. -- Hell, a friend of mine is handicapped, and he's done more than you, for both work and social.
