Abandoned microwave station

I found this place by accident while hiking with my wife, I went back last weekend with my buddy Bugazon. The place is pretty thrashed and burned, literally. The gates are wide open and it doesn't seem that anyone cares that you are poking around.

Fun place! Must have been cool to stumble across it... I love to stumble across stuff... Even if people have been there before.... I loved all the vintage gas cans around there... Are they still there?

I figured someone here had been to it, didn't see any vintage gas cans.

Looks like somebody moved the furniture outside...and the generator is even more "scrapped" by metal thieves.

There's an LDB entry for this. I just made it public.

This place is pretty trashed.

When I first went there, that generator was fully intact with three wall panels full of switches and wiring. The other room didn't have the fire damage, and the papers and desk were in order. The outside only had a few graf scribbles, and the ladder was bolted to the roof. I also remember the dish having the nylon cover on it with the waveguide horn in place.

You mentioned the gates being open... Are these the main big road gates or the fence gates to the compound?

Double gate to the compound is wide open, also a giant hole in the fence under the antenna.
