I wish you all the best but doubt very much you'll be able to make it there! it's wayyy out there in the winter (or in the fall, when it gets muddy actually). I highly doubt snow is removed or tapped down or anything so hmm, it should make up for one fun ride! Ahahaha. If you make it, of course.

If the summer, it's beautiful though. But the idea of going there now, with all the snow appears to me to be a bit sadomasochist!

PS: it is known as a gay/nudist spot in the summer. Doesn't botter me at all but some might want to know...

Oups, sorry, I misread... yeah, ok, in MAY.

That's better.

It's a great spot I think. Bring your bathing suit (or not, depending on what time of the day you go ahaha!)

Great place for a picnic I think!

Ton is not the word I would use. It is quite ridiculous in fact!

During the summer, can it be driven to, or is there a trail to be walked in from the road? What's the easiest access?

No driving there. Park in the parking area of the Gatineau National park and walk you way to it (through walking trails in the wood). Roughly a 20 to 25 minutes walk (depending of where you park, duh, of course). You'll walk up and down hills to go and same to come back, it's not hard but it's it's good exercise... These ruins are not marked so make sure you know where you're going. First time I went, even the park rangers weren't too sure where they were located.

Closest parking spot that I know of is the one you can reach at the end of the Old Chelsea main road (past Le Nordik Spa). Turn on the right at the end of it and eventually, you'll see a small (and sometimes full) parking on your right.

I saw them many times. I used to go swim there when I was living in Ottawa. Very nice spot.
