February meet and greet, Bay Area

I had mentioned something about trying to get us all together in the Bay area every month. Here is your chance to speak up and let me know where you are, what days in February you are available. Please PM me (or post here, but that might end up in a lot of long posts) days and times you can make it and I'll cross check to make sure we have the best time for everyone who wants to go.

Also we need to vote on where to hook up for the first meeting - so far I have Oakland, San Jose, Hayward, Redwood City (somewhere between Palo Alto and San Francisco) and San Francisco to vote on. After that, the vote will be between the three that are left, then the two, and then of course our meeting will end up being in the one that's left and it will just cycle like that to make it fair for everyone driving wise. If there's no one voting at all for one of them, then we won't bother going there of course. If you think a location should be added say something

Also - a few nights before I will PM everyone to make sure you're comin, please let me know if you're not when we set a date

I'm around almost any Friday evening this month save for this one. (Feb 1) I vote for San Jose, because I'm selfish, and we do have a good number of sites to poke around.

Sounds fun. I should be available any day except for Monday after 6.
I'm going to have to vote for San Jose as well, though I couldn't begin to pick a place.

I'm in Sacramento.
I don't really care about the driving, it's worth it to me to meet some folks and maybe see a new location.

If it's cool, this month, I am shooting a flick up in Roseville till the 19th, I would be more in to meeting up the last part of Feb.

If not, it's totally cool, cause I'm sure there will be more meets.

I've had a couple of requests for it to be later - how about *drumroll*

February 22? That's a Friday. And it looks like it's going to be in the South Bay (San Jose area) this month.

If you were planning on going and can't make it that day, just let me know what day is good - we have plenty of time to shuffle the date.

And since it looks like the South Bay - think about where we want to eat - I really don't care where to be honest.

So far it looks like we've currently got at least a group of six going.

Any day works, but I have work at 11pm-7am. Are we doing a day or evening/night meet?

We have several good hamburger, pizza, steak, mexican places to eat at. Places that come to mind: Kirk's Steakburgers, HiLife BBQ, The Garret, Mini Gourmet, Almaden's Tacos Al Pastor, and many more...

Let me know when you need help with site planning. As JeepXJ mentioned, we have several good places to choose from that satisfy every area of the average UE'er. Large, small, new, old, detailed, open, outdoors, indoors, military, classified, rail, air, sea, industrial, city, country, suburban, forest, underground, etc. And we're always finding new, virgin sites every week!

i'm around on the 22nd as well. i'm up for any meeting place really, northbay, southbay. i would aim for what ever location will get more people, though if this is going to become regular, then i can see rotating it around a bit.

You'll never get everybody. Just call it. Say when and where, and if you can't make it, too bad sucka!

I'll be coming as long as it's somewhere within 50 miles.

Thanks Freeside

I just put up an event so if everyone who's planning on going can RSVP that'd be great. I didn't even realize that I could use that function, otherwise I'd have had it up from the start.

So it's the 22nd, I put 7pm but come whenever you want, just let us know when you're going to show up ;)

Where is still being determined (as far as the restaurant goes). Check back in a few days

I planned it for starting at 7pm on the 22nd, so it would be a night meet - would you still be able to go? Let me know...I'm definitely trying to get everyone to be able to go. I realize too with some people they might not be able to make it until later - I'll give out my cell to everyone who RSVP's so that way they can call and let us know they're on their way (that way no one shows up to an empty restaurant and we're all out exploring).

Definitely. Since we're doing San Jose this month, I planned on removing it from the voting for next month so we can see new places and also everyone will get at least every 4th month that they won't have to drive very far.

there's a few things that i've been eyeing recently that have had guard situations changed. I haven't been out any about much the last few weeks as i've been getting creamed by work
