i am from california and going to school there. and not sure whats really around. but i have found a ghost town and caves. wondering if anyone from that area can give me some more places to check out.

You seem to be on the right track. I don't know the area, but all places are the same, get in the car/bike/foot and look for things like smokestacks and broken windows on buildings, then get in there!

| | | | yup, thats what we have been doing since the time being. where still looking for these "chinese tunnels" built in boise many years ago. we have ran across a hospital, but the cops and security is very high there, so where still planning on that one. we have seen an abandoned ranch we are planning to check out.but anything else people have done would be awesome. well keep updated on what we have come across for anyone in the nampa, boise, elsewhere area

Kuna Cave is neat. It's south of Kuna. If you didn't see it on Google Earth or get directions from a local, you would have a tough time finding it.
Abandon houses and ranches are the big thing going here right now with the development. There's a few good examples between Boise and Nampa. Some are out in the sticks, so a vehicle will be needed. I can get you some good leads. Just drive any of these old main artery farm roads. There's stuff everywhere.
There's a dairy complex south of Meridian that's going away shortly. It includes an old schoolhouse. It being closely watched and may have an on-site caretaker, so beware. I plan on visiting it, with permission. The buildings are all currently for sale or salvage.
The Meridian Creamery WAS the top UE, until it was demolished a year back.
In the summer, a trip to Silver City and nearby ghost towns is a must.

wow thanks a lot man,
ya the ghost town, where looking at is the one near some hot springs, not sure if the exact name. ya few of the guys have done the kuna caves already, where gonna try to get farther in and see whats deep down there.

I haven't been much farther than the main chamber, since my 5 yr old was with me. It's supposed to run 1/2 mile total in the north and south direction. Local rumor is it goes further or there was another entrance, but was sealed by the Corp or Engineers.
Ghost town near a hot spring? There's a few in Owyhee county that may be in that category.

The tunnels in Boise you are looking for were actually opium dens. I know how to get into them but not sure how far they go anymore. The dens were partially flooded when the connector to downtown was built.
Maybe when the weather gets nicer we can organize a meet of some sort. Boise has a few fun places to visit.

yes that would be awesome.
right now, its defiantly hard to get around, since the snow is pretty trouble some to travel in. spring for sure.
