| | | I've been up there before. The access road to the top is private for at least 5 or 6 miles before the gate which makes your presencevery obvious( biking might be a good idea). At the top the top there is a large access gate with a few houses just beyond that . The houses looked lived in when I was there but no one answered when I knocked. A night entry would probably work fine provided there are no dogs... There is some cool long lines stuff up that way if you're in the area (a cable landing point is a little north of the main town). I'll post more when I get a chance tomarrow

| | | interesting......i saw on another forum that people drove up there on a saturday in early february - numerous people in numerous cars (maybe even a dozen!) - and had no problem. but bikes are always good so whatever. what do you mean by long lines and cable landings? i look foward to your next post!

| | | yeah, very cool, actually. i always wondered what the monstrosity utop the PACBELL building was when i was a kid..... stuff reminds me of the cold war radar defense sheild. now anyone ever attempt to check out that stuff? also for the record i am lazy and haven't been to point arena yet

| | | I just created a DB listing for Point Arena AFS. It's been about 2 years since I was last there, but in two trips, I've spent about 6 or 7 hours total on the grounds, & have 200+ images. I've made two albums so far & uploaded photos into them, and later tonight I'll make an album or two for the more interesting areas of the AFS, & then post an amusing story about my exploits there.
