| | | You can see a lot of abandonments when you take the ferries from Tsawwassen to Victoria all along the islands there, you just have to keep your eyes open. Of course you'll have to take a boat out to get there yourself unless your planning to jump off the ferries and swim

It happens. There's a story floating around, about a guy who jumped ship trying to commit suicide. He somehow survived in the icy waters, much longer than the estimated '20 minutes to live' suggested survival time. He got caught in the currents and eventually was spotted in Active Pass. He lived, his name was BOB! True story.
