I'm pretty sure that this is NOT Katrina damage. It's parked just across the street from the beach in Bay St. Louis, no more than 100 yards from the water, along with several other older cars. Given the destruction surrounding it, there's simply no way I can imagine that it rode out the storm surge - although it's completely rusted out, all of its body panels are still straight.

In any case, I'm a sucker for old, rusted cars. This is a rarity, a Ford Courier V8 panel van. The faded sign on the cargo area reads:

BONNER'S Honey-Glazed DONUTS
PHO. AL 5-1954

I love the old five-digit phone number. I think it's my favorite thing about it.
