| | | Hey welcome to Melb!! I'm a beginning explorer and haven't found much in the way of groups to join up with yet, although I'm just about to have another crack at joining urbexau. I emailed Cave Clan recently about new explorer expos and were told they were 'taking a winter break' (makes sense really!). Bit of a struggle to find locations, but it's prob because I'm new. Last weekend me and friend just a spent a couple of hours touring the back laneways in the city ... okay so it prob doesn't sound that great if you're more into the live infiltration or draining, but we're more fans of looking at buildings/architecture/stuff (also big on photography) ... there's so many nooks and crannies we had heaps of fun. Anyway, sorry, enough of my life story ... just wanted to say and that I hope you find some cool stuff

| | | Hi - check out Caveclan.org - they have an excelent network of members across melbourne and Australia - lots of interstate expos and occasional OS ones too. The melbourne branch does take time out in winter from drains but is still very active with topside etc. As long as you are over 18, not into exploring so you can graf places you are sure to be welcome. Caveclan have a well established australia wide urbex forum so there are plenty of opertunities to meet up with members interstate for stuff if you happen to be in another city for work etc. I live in Adelaide now and have been active since 1996, mainly out of sydney but have frequented melbourne almost every year in between - awesome members and friendly atmosphere. just be aware that urbex for grafiti, racism, sexism and homophobia are absolutly not supported and several people have been booted for continued contraban incidents. hope this helps India
