| | | Hello! Funny, when me, my brother, & my best friend used to go exploring the abandoned factories and buildings around the city we grew up in 15 years ago we had no idea that it was a hobby, much less that it had a name and one day people would write books about it. Anyhow, a couple of years ago someone told me about this aircraft graveyard operated by Charlotte Aircraft Corporation (a holding company) for Northwest Airlines, and that they kept their aircraft at Laurinburg / Maxton, NC airport. So I dialed it into my GPS and flew up there to check it out. Thought you guys might like the pics. I posted it originally in the Mid-Atlantic section, since it's located there - but as I'm located in Atlanta (and my flight originates here) it was suggested that I say "hi" here, too. My trip: http://phreakmonke...4.09.19/index.html On a related note, I own a C-172 and am always looking for an excuse to fly - so if anyone wants to do an "aerial survey" of a location let me know. Cheers! (& happy exploring) - K.C. aka phreakmonkey
