speaking of downtown hotels, the mount royal basically was montreals big sheraton till it was supplanted by the sheraton centre, the windsor was half demolished for the CIBC tower, but it preserved some of its greatest parts. The guaranteed dairy also was an accidental save. Montreals oldest smallpox hospital also still survives as the blachford plant on lucien lallier. As for the pepsi forum the building was so incredibly altered in 1969 i dont know how much could be done to save it.
back to "saved" buildings, the RCA plant, the imperial tobacco plant will be restored on the outside, windsor station (it never was abandonned but the bell centre project restored it)
