| | | I was recently told that the White Oaks Hospital in London was closed, I don't know anything else... do you guys know anything about it? Perhaps there is an infiltration awaiting us at this site. Please let me know what you find out, thanks...

| | | Well, I've never heard of White Oaks Hospital and I've lived in London all my life... A search on the net turned up nothing, and the London Hospital Directory turned up nothing as well. Just have to see what turns up about this place I guess...

| | | Well, I still couldn't find any info about this White Oaks Hospital... Also: the gym they refer to in that article at 555 Bathurst is the Adventure Connection Climbing Gym. Full exploration is up on our site Don't know about he one on wellington though.
Anyway, I'm starting to think this White Oaks is in another city. Thanks for the info about the St. Thomas Psych building though, we'll be sure to check it out.

| | | Um... white oaks hospital.... right... as far as I know such a place does not exist... we have an area of london called white oaks, near it we have Victoria hospital, and Parkwood hospital(the new one)(both of those are in operation) and we did have the abandoned parkwood(westminster which is almost all torn down) (then again you know that having visited it yourself Nvr2loud). There are no other hospitals in the White Oaks area... and no hospital called white oaks.. I would suggest verifying your sources.

| | | Well thanks everyone for searching, I turned up nothing as well. Guess someone gave me the wrong name, I'll check my sources to see if the area/name was screwed up during communication. I'd sure like to know about the St. Thomas hospital building discussed above. Also, I saw part of the London Hospital for the Insane that was abandonned, that is on my future exploration list. Tonight I'm going into a building in Hamilton.... I'll post more after exploring (including the name... sorry, can't be too careful!)

| | | About St. Thomas Psy Administrative building (Or whatever it's called). It's only passobility just because Parkwood Psy and thats building are sisters and were built in the same time. Same design. Also I know someone who is working there....no don't worry she is only working there...she is not a patient))) To be more exact the building I'm talking about is on the right side of the road when you're going to Port Stanley. The left side is not that old. She was telling about passibility of moving everything to the newer place. Actually Parkwood Psy is the building you're talking about. It's on the other side of Commisioners across Victoria Hospital.

| | | Well thanks for the info, we'll have to check it out.
And actually, the building Nvr2loud is talking about, London Hospital for the Insane, is not the same as Parkwood. This is LHI: http://uelondon.minimanga.com/misc/linsane.JPG It's located on the (still in operation) London Psychiatric Hospital grounds. Parkwood is another place entirely... and speaking of which, it's in the process of demolition. All that remains is a small part of the central hub section. All the tunnels are being filled in as well.

| | | Ahrr....opss.) thanx... Sucks about Parkwood. I didn't had a chance to be there. But well. It's too late now. BTW where is LHI for some reason I can't recall the location or even the building itself.

| | | It's on the LPH grounds, and those are located alongside Highbury Ave North.
Here's an aerial pic of the entire LPH facility. The LHI building is in the middle and marked "850" in yellow. The huge complex to left is still active. There's also some smaller abandoned buildings, including dormitory-style structures and large barn, on the grounds as well.

| | | I found out why no one has heard of White Oaks in London.... it's because the person telling me got her info very very wrong, what she meant was Oxford Regional Centre in Woodstock (White Oaks in London?????) don't know how she got names and cities wrong!!!
Anyway, the hospital she was talking about was the one on the east side of Hwy 59 north of Woodstock, it has been demolished. It was almost directly accross from the Ontario Hospital (known to UE London guys as the Oxford Regional Centre)

| | | Okay guys, this is what I know of for the Woodstock area......
1) Oxford Regional Centre Hwy #59 on East Side (demolished)
2) Ontario Hospital Farm, (woodstock) (part of the Oxford Regional Centre) Hwy #59 on West Side (abandoned)
3) Oxford House of Refuge 11th concession just south of Rd. 17 (to be demolished this week, please do not visit as it is only an empty shell - tresspassers will be caught and prosecuted - trust me on this)

| | | Hmm, well, we were told by two sources (a local guy we ran into there, and another guy through email who claimed his father used to be a guard there) that the location we were at was just generally known as ORC... the "main" ORC that was demo'd must be the 9-storey building we were told about. As for the House of Refuge, that's a damn shame (read your other post). As it stands, we'll probably drop by to take a couple outside pics before the place is gone.
Anyway, at least that clears up the White Oaks Hospital mystery.
