|  | | | this is my first photo post here, go easy ;) here are some point and shoot pictures of a couple abandoned houses in ventura county.
this first set of pictures is from a house we lovingly named "hip-hop barber shop". i actually fell through the floor at this one on my last trip in. apparently it doesn't exist anymore.
this next set of photos is from the mauldhart house (we call it "ratties" because it's infested). from the looks of things it seems as though they may be restoring it and turning it into a historical landmark.

we found a bunch of stuff in the upstairs bathroom. hairpins, a pin cushion, glasses, hair brushes, make up..and tons of rat shit!
|
we left everything there of course. i looked up the name of a perfume bottle that was in there and it dated back to the 50's.

gotta love the funky wallpaper in that place!

I think the reason that you don't see a link back to a host is that she used the "attach an image" button next to "SpellCheck and Preview". When you do it this way instead of using an external host, you can use the gallery tag (see the "Quick Tip" just below the "SpellCheck and Post Reply" button). I thought there was a page or thread explaining this on here already but I couldn't find it just now.

There's nothing like crazy dreads juxtaposed with abandoned artifacts. And they're blonde dreads too!
