|  | | | If anyone is going to the Laurentians I suggest you check out the following places before they become demolished or unused.
L'eglise St Julien - Lachute Que.
60km From Montreal.
Wentworth North Abandoned Air Base (Now A Summer Camp.)
Abandoned houses in Lake Field. 4km from Lachute. Hint. Thompson Road, And surrounding areas. (Watch out for neighbors.)
Dam just outside of Lakefield. Take the 329 to Lachute and about 3 KM from Lakefield. You can`t miss it. Take Thompson-Gore road and try hiking it to the river and follow the river to the dam (about 140Ft high)
Will update later with more country exploring.

Been there, done that. There's a lot more locations in the Laurentians. Including one big obvious location - Mirabel

Hmmm moi je dirais pas ça. On a "testé" la sécurité en fin de semaine et on a eu ZÉRO RÉACTION WHATSOEVER. Malgré avoir passé au moins 20 minutes à 15 pieds d'une caméra de sécurité.

I wouldn``t mind scouting the outside or trying to organize an all-access tour or something but I don`t see myself breaking into old airports. Even the damn near Lachute is sketchy now since CBC released the security issues with dams. Bastards.

| | | | I went scooting around Kilmar near Lachute during spring 2005 and sadly the mine is back in operation. I asked at the general store for some infos about some pictures i found on the net. All the places I had on paper were now demolished or back in operation like the mine and a small damn. But I found a very small church made of concrete block... no real interest.
Here are the pictures from the MRC d'Argenteuil web page showing the Cascade plant, the damn, inside the damn and the Kilmar mine.

L'église Saint-Julien, is a very nice abandoned church, it's not 200 years old but it's still a nice exploration.

C'est sur que quand j'y ai été il y avait un tournage de film...ca pas du m'aider!
J'ai même pas été la 10 minutes avant que 2 gardes m'escortent jusqu'a l'autoroute (2 criss d'épais sois dit en passant) en me menacant de confisquer ma camera/carte-mémoire et tout le kit!
On les salut.

Tsssss peuvent ben parler tant qu'ils veulents ces cons de gardes. Y en a pa un sale qui va me confisquer mon equipement un jour, faudra qui me batte jusqu'au coma avant pour me les buster. La police, c'est autre chose cependant.
