I was at the tennis in 98 but for the life of me can't remember seeing the empty sides of the grandstands.
Is it still like this, or has it changed?
And my greatest memory was that my Dad took me to Opening Day in 1970.

the only part of the ballpark still there is the semi circle part behind home plate, the stadium is squared off. the main court is in the old stadium now. its hard to describe the layout, if you look on navurb you can see. the 1st baseline now goes clear through the indoor tennis center.

"they may not have won in 1969 but it was the happiest summer because they all knew the expos would be back...next year" -quote from the "happiest summer" produced by phyllis lambert and the house of seagram.
