Looking For Subjects for UE film

New to the forums but not the practice, I'm an Ottawa based filmmaker who recently got a green light to do a documentary on Urban Exploration after three years of trying to get it off the ground.

The film will examine urban exploration on a global level, we will be travelling to various locations in North America and to Europe later on in the summer. We are looking to present the deeper ideas, philosophies and principals behind UEing through diverse subjects and locations. Stylistically, the film will certainly be a tribute to the places we visit, with the sights and sounds of the film hopefully articulating the bigger reasons behind urban exploration that words can't quite describe. That said, the film will still rely heavily on it's subjects and we are currently looking for people who would be willing to participate in the film in that capacity. Quite simply: we are looking for people who would accompany us to a location for a day/afternoon/evening or night who have ideas, principals or philosophies pertaining to Urban Exploration (and the world at large) that they would be willing to share. Hopefully this film will provide yet another outlet for it's subjects to communicate the importance of Urban Exploration while also being a beautiful piece of art.

Because I have yet to film in an abandoned building with a crew, we are hoping to do a "trial run" in early July to get a sense of the best approach to filming on location with somewhat cumbersome equipment. We are looking for a subject to accompany us on this trip - someone in Canada within a 7 hour drive of Ottawa (Montreal, Toronto etc.).

If you feel that you, or someone you know, would make an interesting, intelligent subject for our doc. please contact me at miles@endlessroadproductions.com and we can communicate further. Of course anonymity will be respected.

We are still considering another crew person, if anyone has experience as a location sound mixer for film/tv and is interested, drop me a line. There's an all expenses paid UE-trip to Europe in it for the right person.

I realize that have been films made (some quite good) on the subject - some of which have yet to be released. I do believe that this will be a unique and relevant documentary on the subject and that it will present new ideas and images not found in the other films.

If anyone has any questions regarding any details, please feel free to contact me.

Lastly, I hope that this posting is in the appropriate forum and I apologize in advance if it is not. I'm new to this side of it.

Thanks.

We're already having enough problems with law enforcement and building getting sealed up. It's just not the right time for a big production about quebec's abandonments.

I don't want to sound rude but your project sounds EXACTLY like a copy of "Into the Darkness" from Melody Gilbert. Same reasons, same motivations, same locations all over the place...

I've already done Melody so I'll pass my turn on this one.
