Gender: Male  |  |  Re: Ventilation Shafts <Reply # 21 on 10/29/2003 11:06 PM >   I'm sure there are different methods for securing air-ducts, and maybe a lot of older methods are of questionable intergrity, but I'll tell you this much: On quite a few occasions when constructing buildings, I've climbed completely onto or into duct work, and they've supported all 6'3", 200 pounds of me; I've never had any problems with the mounting hardware failing. Maybe they take some of that into account in the design, thought that doesn't seem likely.
