I guess everybody is scared by different things. I've been in an abandoned hotel(My photos, an article, another article by myself and I wasn't scared, except for when I was in the kitchen area. You can also tell that people are (or were) there because there are subtle changes in the position of the furniture where you enter. Slaughterhouses do send a small chill up my spine, and no, I'm not some gay fruitarian.

no,but 98% of all the vegetarians i've run into over the years need to have a medium rare steak jammed up their ass. This is another group of people that needs to be beaten with a hammer until not quite so pompous.

I've always maintained a very strict policy of not being jackass about being a vegetarian. If people ask questions, I answer them, but my choice was my own and I don't expect you to share it. I'm not a JW for cryin' out loud.
I got used to people offering me meaty food ("Oh, god, you're a vegetarian! That's right! I forgot!"). I got used to people asking me if I eat fish.
What I never quite got used to was people who'd tell me there was lard in the meal they just gave me (just to see the look on my face). Or the one asshole who tried to shove a bite of steak into my mouth. Or the people who, upon learning that I don't mind if people eat meat around me, begin to say things like, "Oh, this dead cow is so good, Sara. (random snorting/scarfing noises) The fear makes it tastier!"
Maybe there would be fewer asshole vegetarians if there were fewer asshole meat eaters.

Well, I guess we could argue all day about vegetarianism. I just think it's funny that this post started out with an innocent and non-judgmental comment about being a vegetarian, and then people start talking crap about how stupid vegetarians are which really has nothing to do with UE and/or this thread. And then the real irony is that it wasn't even an issue until an 'omnivore' made it one!
