| | | I remember that place. Used to be where the Reno Depot is now? Back in my high school days when my friends and I were broke, we used to hop the fence after dark to make off with a few cases of empties. We'd cash them in at the neighbourhood dep and blow the coin on "smokables". Ahh... the good ole days. Never did get inside that building. Around the corner from the Coke plant was Ye Olde Pub, and across the street from that, was the Sealtest plant... the freshest ice cream outlet in town.

| | | Before it was demolished, Loyola High School bought the building and land in order to make a sports facility (hockey rink, weight room, etc...) and playing fields for soccer, football and rugby. The fields were built and have been in use for a couple of years now... They are behind the old WH Perron and Reno and right beside the Gazette printing plant. The plans for the building never took off, and they eventually sold the land where Reno Depot now stands.

| | | Yep. All they kept was the soccer field. Though Loyola's kids do use Condordia's nice field, too.

You can say that again. My folks tightened their belts enough to send me there. No thanks to my shit-disturbing ways, I switched to the public school system to finish Secondary V, so I got to see both the private and public high school systems firsthand. The difference between the two was like night and day, to put it mildly.

| | | We got four of those last summer, they're cool. We're supposed to be getting 12 more. I guess this is now a thread about NDG. Schools, Coca-cola, etc.......ah it's all related.

| | | I used to collect alot of coke memorabilia. I found a really cool rusted coke sign at some old abandoned gas station up in northern ontario, but I never stole it (I do however have a polaroid of it laying around somewhere). I don't know where I'm going with this one guys... sorry.
