When my alarm went off this morning, I thought I must have been mad. What was I doing, getting up early to go into some house? But I got up. I drove to the place. I walked through the overgrowth. At first I simply sat next to the house, feeling secluded. At peace. Once I crossed the threshold I wondered: Could someone be inside?

But the place was empty, of both people and of many of the juicy guts I had been hoping for. There was some nice exposed brick though; I'm not entirely disappointed, despite my extraordinary expectations of finding old chandeliers and pianos begging to be discovered. This was once a million dollar home.


1. Nature calls you back.


2. She creeps into your corners.


3. You will find no warmth here.


4. Are we going somewhere? (Car seats? WTH?)


5. Hidden in dark corners.


6. We stand together.

Love that first picture. Its always fascinating to see how nature interacts with abandonments.
