I hope this place is still standing...

...because I want to see it. It's near a small town in Northeast Iowa, an area of the state that I have yet to see much of.

These photos are six years old, according to the date stamp, so I hope I'm not too late. I'm a sucker for old farmhouses, scrapbooks and records, and this place meets all three criteria and then some.

The nice thing about farm houses like this is there's usually no reason to tear them down. I bet it's still there.

True. Hopefully it hasn't fallen in, at any rate. Judging from its condition back in '07, I doubt it has. And hopefully it's out of the way enough that it hasn't been trashed too severely.

Time and water are this old farm house's enemies. Good luck in your quest.

When I say I'm 'clean and sober', it means I've showered and I'm headed to the liquor store.

Eh, time and money are my enemies when it comes to UE travel, unfortunately I'll have to be content with seeking out locations in my vicinity for now.

I guess it depends on the economy of the area too. Land developers are having lots of fun out where I live. Two of the farm houses I've visited within the past two years have been demolished. Though the property still has yet to have anything built on it :/

I read that a lot of banks are demolishing their bank owned properties to save money on property taxes.
