|  | | | Once upon a time Montreal was a garbage burning city, during 1993 the last of Montreal's incinerators closed down, leading to a greener Montreal. Nowadays this once useful building is used as a storage for recycling bins., ironically.
The building is separated into two sections, one half is for storage and the other half for burning. When you get to the upper floors you will notice a huge cavity where we believe it used to be full of garbage. The roof was flooded, so getting to the top was not a good idea. This is still a neat place to visit! It's nearby Hochelaga and dickson street!

The oven is quite dusty yet when you look up from the chimney, you got to appreciate the bright sky and dark room's contrast.
