Nice. I keep putting this place on my list when I head to the desert, but it's always just enough off the beaten path that I don't go...Need to make the time one of these trips.

Architecture, nature, alcohol....
Space travel, Rock n Roll.

Funny, I was looking up different places earlier and came across this place on wikipeida. They have a video of what the place looked like in 1958. Nice to see some of it is still standing, I need to go check it out when I'm down there. The bronco doesn't seem to be there in the Google Maps shots.

Looks even cooler during the day... kind of wishing I had mixed that into my road trip some how ... then again, apparently OJ Simpson hangs out there so maybe not the best idea ;o)

Such a shame to see it like this, I remember going several times as a kid! I've driven by it a number of times since it was closed some years ago, but I haven't gone in yet. Looks like a trip is in order!

I went for a little trip to this spot last night, just for fun. I got there about 2:30 in the morning, and there was a small film crew there in the front section filming. They had the hot lights going, and a couple big RV's parked over in the lumber yard section.

Didn't get a chance to see what they were filming, but I'm hoping Bad Santa 2! But it was probably just a low budget horror film. :/

Yeah, but what you don't know are the emails that I have sent Brian (modern days ruins) and if anyone would like I can forward the emails I will be happy to email you a copy. I will also post up the emails with the contact about the thread on his blog.

Here is the link to the thread on his blog site
http://www.moderndayruins.com/

He also thanked me for the photos
"Thanks Josh and Lovely Kuppio!" Because we took the photos and he borrowed them for his site. HE borrowed them with MY permission. That's why he gave ME and my girlfriend credit for them.

Please, do further research before you decide to viciously attack someone with false incrimination.

Here is some REAL information. REAL information that PROVES these are my photos instead of some really ridiculous assumptions.

I've shared an item with you.

Joshua,

Is there anyway you could put copies of the photos here? That would help and be much easier then downloading each one individually.

The new blog post is up. Please let me know if you see anything that needs to be changed. I put your name in two places - hopefully you are good with where.

Thank you again - awesome pictures - particularly the gingerbread house which was almost the exact location taken and an old photo - awesome comparison.

wow the pics of the gingerbread house are freaky that they are almost the same exact location it shows a large amount of decay

[To me from Brian]
Definitely my favorite comparison photos on the site!

And furthermore, if anyone would like to meet me personally and look at the pictures that are actually on my phone and to see that I am not a meth head or some weird person, feel free.
I don't mind at all proving my innocence in this situation and fight against these ridiculous accusations.
If you'd like, as well you can contact Brian and even BurpleKush who both have met me and even witnessed me taking many of these photos.

In conclusion, I thought this would be a place free of such drama. I was wrong.

I don't mind if I'm banned. It doesn't matter anymore seeing as this forum seems more about "starting drama" than anything. Such as drama over something as small as a sticker. I had assumed someone would ask and inquire about photos if they felt they were "suspicious". I was wrong about that, too. Instead they went to some of MY pictures and accused me of stealing MY pictures from myself...which doesn't make sense to me. Such as the pictures of the Military housing. Those, too were my own pictures and were "used" as "evidence" that I stole them. I submitted those pictures to the blog as well. And yet someone used the pictures that I took as proof that I stole pictures.

Do you see where my confusion is?

Like I said, I'm MORE than willing to meet up with any moderators and show them photos from my laptop, phone and otherwise. My girlfriend has photos, too. If it's anyone's photos that I used, they were hers with her permission. No one else.

If you wish to contact me personally about this matter, feel free to email me at
Stephens.joshuaj@gmail.com

Everyone has their own opinions but trying to pose opinions as facts without proper proof is one of the biggest reasons why the justice system fails in many situations. It's also one of the biggest reasons why there is so much drama.

I'll leave it at this. Take it as you wish.

You can email Brian and Sandy yourselves, as well and ask them if those are my photos.

I'm pretty sure you didn't do that before you decided to accuse me, did you?

Also, let me point this out just in case you missed it

So, you really like to have your photos rehosted by other people for some reason.

Same thing with these?

None of those are my photos. Was there anywhere on this forum where I said those were mine?
Or did I link to them because I want to go there?

Those are my pictures. Sandi contacted me and asked me if I would mind her using my photos on her blog about forgotten places.
Feel free to contact her personally on the matter. You already have the link to her page.

My question is this: I never knew it was considered "bad" to let other people use my photos. I see now why I don't see any of your photos hosted by anyone else. God forbid people start saying you stole your photos, as well.

No one has any real proof. Just drama. Why so much drama? Why couldn't anyone read those pages where it actually says "Thanks Josh and Lovely Kuuipo"?

Sandi may not have credited my photos that she did use (which I asked her to so you all can sleep better at night) but I know for a fact that Brian DID. And it just goes to show that Therrin probably wanted to start drama for some reason, which didn't seem like him.
I've spoken to you before, Therrin. You seemed like a level headed guy. But all this drama you are starting over poorly researched and ungrounded incrimination makes me believe otherwise.

I understand where you may have come across the idea that I "stole" pictures, but why didn't you just PM first instead of starting drama?

I'm completely aware that everyone is throwing dust to the wind at the moment to see where it blows. But I had assumed this forum was free of such drama backlash and trolling.

Look, I have sent a message to a PM saying I'd gladly meet with any moderators in the area to show them proof.

I've already linked to my facebook page with pictures of my face and my girlfriends face in photos WITH the photos that I took that you all are claiming I stole.

I think, instead of following a tall tale, research the proof yourself. I"ve given you more than enough options to do so.

We have contacted the people whose images you've taken, and if they are using your photos on their sites, then that's a really stupid thing for them to do and for you to allow to happen.

The bigger issue is that you share an IP with someone who was caught plagiarising someone else's photos dead to rights in a manner that looks extremely similar to your post, and when caught he closed his account before we could get any sort of answer to him. So, you can see why we're especially suspicious of you.

It'd seem pretty strange that you and Xperiment share an IP address, and that he was using completely plagiarised photos on all his posts, while phishing for locations from people...

And that you're phishing for locations from people, and that you've both commented on eachother's threads.

And that you're logging in from the same IP address and don't know eachother???

C'mon man.

And what's with people commenting on all your B&E activities? Are you trying to say that you don't make a habit of carrying around bolt cutters?
Trying to say that you didn't cut up a 6ft chain link fence at the goat farm?

Cuz I'm pretty sure there are people who would say otherwise. Just come clean man.
You want this shit to go to court, with your IP linking you to plagiarising someone else's pictures???

You've been caught, dead to rights. Just cut this crap out and admit it.

You (Le tourment vert) and Xperiment have logged onto UER using the SAME computer.
