Pandora Radar Station, New Zealand ???

Does anyone know anything about the "Pandora Radar Station" near Cape Reinga (Northland) in New Zealand? I saw a sign (Image) but didn't find it. There seems to be no information on the web, not even on GoogleMaps.
Does anybody have a picture? I won't visit the place anymore, cause i'm back in Europe now, but i'd like to know what i've missed...

Well, internet research yielded this document...

https://docs.googl...Z74H9wxuZasvSGdStw

...in which I found this quote:

"A mile inland from Pandora is a high point on which a radar station was located during the late war, but the installation is now abandoned."

Accompanying the textual description is a hand-drawn map of the area, which locates Pandora as being a fully non-descript place along the coastline at Spirits Bay. So mapping inland from there, the only man-made thing in the entire area appears to be a small square building about a mile away, with several trails leading to it. You can see for yourself here:

There might not be much left to see, A remote radar installation from that era would have been pretty small and lightweight (to save money and speed installation). The only permanent structures are likely cement pads for the tower footings, the generator, and maybe the electronics shack. After the war they'd probably scrap the antenna and move the generators and electronics elsewhere.

Here's an example of one in Alaska that I've hiked to, there's not a lot to see. I've been to another one like this that's essentially the same, just a few cement footings and some rusty metal.

Here's some info on another NZ WWII radar site:

And some pics of the remains of others:

Turn off the internet and go play outside.

Thanks a lot. So i suspect i don't have to be disappointed not having visited this place...
It looked so architecturally interesting on the sign.
