I would love to explore that school! cool shots

I enjoy long walks on the beach, romantic, candle-lit dinners, and post-apocalyptic situations.

If anybody is passing through the area and wants to see that school shoot me a PM.

They passed a bill a few years back requiring all schools of a smaller size to consolidate with larger schools even if it was several towns away. Our government is really intelligent I tell you. Many of the smaller schools had been seriously updated ($100's of thousands of dollars) only to be completely abandoned a few years later and left to rot.

There's was probably $1-2K worth of uniforms for cheer and band piled in the hall at this school all brand new. They where rendered useless when they where forced to consolidate with the larger school down the road since they where specifically label for this school only.

I can't begin to describe the waste and the amount of empty school buildings in this area because of our wonderful government. If anyone is into schools and wants to see a bunch of them in various states of misuse come visit and I'll take you on the tour.

/rant

And sorry I don't have anymore pics of the school at the moment, but the architecture is awesome and I'm planning a re-visit as there's 2 more building next to this one that I didn't even make into.

Just shoot me PM's if either of you get out this way I'd be glad to take you on a road trip.

WestO there's some cool little almost ghost towns north of GI I've been to a few and have a few more on the list.

Rob that school is about an hour from me but it's pristine and there's two other buildings (elementary and the gym) there I didn't even make it into.

Thanks this is by far the most dead regional board on UER so I'm glad someone looks once in a while.

Yikes, what a bummer about the small regional schools! Consolidated schools spend half of their budgets on bussing...

Anyway, great job recording these sites. I love the amble windows in the last barn loft.
