Our ol' school was busted, let me count the ways->
Tables are all crooked,
Fountains are all rusted,
They be like leaves and such on the ground,
Childrens be losin' fingers to the hawk,
It do have a special ed corner tho,
but the classrooms need to be vacuumed,
and them trees need to be trimmed,
especially 'spooky tree' in the kindergartners section,
the asphalts all dirty,
the sun don't shine there no mo,
somebody stole the swings,
and the childrens be putin they hands on the walls.
So remember to vote, fo' mo' money...

In all seriousness, this school was closed in 08 for no apparent reason that I have found, and the new one was built a few blocks away. It's locked up pretty tight, the only interior pick was from a broken window which it looks like the school district stays on top of fixing those with plywood and keeping out the transients on a regular basis. I explored this place with Zombie951 (I'm sure he has some nice pics too) and we came across that hawk hanging out next to some containers.

| | | | Yeah, the hawk was kind of pissed. He was puffing himself up and he had a little blood on him that you can see on his lower back in the pic. He was moving around pretty well though. I went back the next morning to see if he was still there, but couldn't find him. So hopefully he just recuperated a little then flew away.
