|  | | | Let me just start by thanking everyone who attended. We had a very good turn out, about 25 people, some from So-Cal, Nor-Cal and every part of the Bay Area. Explores started showing up around 3, we had a small pow wow at 3:45 where everyone introduced themselves and then we all went in.
The Castle is absolutely stunning, it felt like a movie set. We all wandered around the castle deciding where to start photographing first but, there was so much to see. The light in the castle is some of the best I've ever seen. It was very hot and the fashion crews were slightly frustrating at times but, we all worked together and it turned out just fine. After about 3 hours we all were pooped and left to a local watering hole where we played pool and got to know each other even better.
The staff at the castle has done the best job they could given the age of the facility and the budget they have. I would most definitely go again for photographers day.
I'm so glad to have met everyone and look forward to exploring with you all soon.

It was good meeting so many new faces and seeing everyone from previous meetups. Thank
you Photlose for the water and rice crispy treats. Thanks Fusspot & decrepitude for bringing
additional refreshments and treats also. It was a great day of exploring and fun with new
friends, what more could you ask for ??? Good job Boosted302 for planning this meetup. I
hope to see everyone at future meetups.

I was obsessed with the ornateness of the radiators at Preston:
I only wish it wasn't so hot nor so crowded. The heat was the worst of the two... I found everyone (UER and otherwise) to be friendly, patient and courteous so that made dealing with the heat a bit more bearable for me. That and the cooler full of ice cold beverages in the car! 
Unfortunately it was no cooler on Sunday, so we decided to skip the mine tour we planned and took a detour to see what there was to see on the way back.

It was terrible... someone put a blue jean skirt and burgundy tank top on her while we were there so I imagine not many snapped her photo... but she is in fact still there

The one in these photos is there! Some old lady had it dressed as a witch with pumpkins and such scattered around the base for photos.

| | | | Wow, that was one hell of a weekend y'all. I had an absolute blast hanging out with all of you and the after party at Tilly's bar only made it better. It was a long drive for some of us, so much thanks to all who came out and supported our community... you guys rock.

| | | | Great to meet everyone on Saturday. Loving all the photos, keep them coming. I saw UER people doing some really creative things with their shoots in the castle so I'm sure there are lots more to come.
I better hurry up and post a few of mine before all the highlights of the locations are already covered.
Boosted - those high contrast (light coming into a dark room) have great atmosphere.
SinCal - that restraint chair photo is a real winner. I think the models were squatting in that room when I came by as I didn't get any shots in there.
