Ahhh, but if you put a plastic barrier in between the two of you, it makes it "safe". =) **EDIT** I'd be willing to help you learn, at a pace that you find comfortable.

Thanks, I hope that way I don't get pregnant.

I'd agree with 90% of that Sivalls, its your lucky day! It's also worth checking for DNR necklaces/bracelets/anklets. Some people don't want to be resuscitated. That's their choice. There's not much need to work on trying to save someone who doesn't want it. It's always easy to make this whole "medical aid" thing more and more and more complicated and detailed. For the most part, people around here are going to be dealing with stopping bleeding, dressing minor wounds, and broken bones. Make sure you know how to do the "simple" stuff. And if you're interested in doing CPR, you really should take a class and become proficient at it. It's not difficult, but it's best to learn it "hands on" with professional instruction.

I am feeling lucky, or maybe it's the damn full moon and all the moth dust I ingested killing their relentless hordes last night. It seems we are in agreement +/- 10% Great point on the bracelets, or if you know the persons wishes. Respect them. Reviving someone who doesn't want to be is a disservice and a pointless cruelty. This is especially true with the terminally ill. While these threads are helpful, this is not the place to learn CPR. Take a class. Mistakes can kill and cripple.
Your security measures were inadequate. How unfortunate for you. |

| | | Some good and simple UE first aid equipment. A packet of tissues or wipes. Good for wiping blood away. A roll of good electrical tape. (aka: the man-daid) Good for cuts on hands and fingers. A roll of good duct tape. You never know what you might need duct tape for. A bottle of good superglue. Yes, superglue. Squeeze a little on a cut to keep it closed. (It's a model builders trick.) Your body heat helps the glue to dry faster. Get the plastic bottles not the tubes as the tubes can break open and leak. ***THESE ARE QUICK AND SIMPLE IDEAS FOR MINOR INJURIES OUT IN THE FIELD. NO AMOUNT OF TAPE AND GLUE WILL HELP YOU WITH A SERIOUS WOUND.***
