| | | I want to Peter Cooper Glue Factory on February 22nd. The cloudy sky made it extra creepy. I highly recommend checking it out. Here's some pics.
You know when you've found it because you can feel it when they take it away. |

| | | Looks neat from the outdoor shots, but the inside shots make it look rather boring and featureless lol.

| | | Yep, this is Hynite. Peter Cooper is the demolished pile of rubbish to the north. I hear there's been a green dumpster outside Hynite lately, can you confirm if they're starting to scrap this place? There were loads of demolition plans and a website started up about future plans for the whole Peter Cooper/Hynite/Wabash Alloys area, but I forgot the website URL. I was caught right outside the fence at Hynite about 2 years ago, the cops are pretty uptight about that place, as the cop who interrogated me said, "kids only go in there to do two things, smoke pot and do graffiti".
We're all just trapped between the stippled earth and the stubbled sky. |

| | | Lastnight I was at the location, which now has excavation and other demolition equipment on site. Get in quick folks, Hynite will soon be gone.

From what i've been able to gather this land has been purchased by the city of Oak Creek. I dont know the status of demolition, I may have to take a ride down there this weekend.

| | | I lived in Mil Town over the summer staying with family. A friend of mine and I were able to get down this way a few times. Peter Cooper has been mostly demolished now for the past couple of years. Wabash is still there, and still easy to get in. Cool place to check out if you are in the area. ( Bring flash lights and extra batteries ) But as Shotgun had stated, these pics are not of Peter Cooper. I haven't been in Hynite now for a few years though. Last time I was in there was a few years back, and they had absestos dumpsters inside. Not sure what it is like now, but if my memory serves me, it was still standing as of mid July. (Also, the old Dupont site has had some recent activity. They now have a giant hill from all the waste soil escavted during the I-94 construction.)
You cannot begin to live until you cease to just exist. |
