| | | I'll be in the Dayton area soon and I'm considering a trip here. Is it accessible/ how are things security-wise?

| | | When I was there over the summer there wasn't much left to see. The guy at the hotel nearby was watching us like a hawk (though he was nice and seemed to understand why we were there to see it) I didn't get the impression that there was any real security. If it is still there and I was making a return trip I would bring a raft or sled (Not sure how frozen it is this time of the year) and try to attack from the other side of the canal.

| | | Last time I was there they were taking a lot out. And that was about a year ago. And there was some guy there that seemed to be some sort of security. I don't know.

| | | There are a few "attractions" left at this site however the main roller coaster was demolished last year and other rides have been sold slowly over time. Some items are being moved next door to the old Fantasy Farm site to make a picnic park. The camper/RV business in the front of the park is very active.

| | | I might still stop by on the way from Dayton to Cinci. Where is the Fantasy Farm in relation to Americana? I always got the impression that they were the same thing.

| | | They're right next door to each other, but its not worth seeing. Just hulks of old rides, like a bumper car ring with no cars, or those spinning dragon things but all disassembled. Americana is mostly gone too, the coaster is demo'd, the rides are out, and the lake is drained. The only thing left are old vendor buildings which are sealed tight and even if they werent wouldnt be worth seeing.

| | | How long has Americana been closed now? I know I went when I was a kid but didn't realize that it was completely gone now.
