|  | | | Sooo I'm phil. 17 years young from oakland, ca. Been urbexing for a couple of years. Been to all sorts of locations from semi-active to inactive military installations, schools, hotels, drains, etc. I'm not really a photographer so all I carry is my phone so I don't weigh myself down with expensive equipment but here's one of my exploits in a battery near the presidio in SF ;)
I lost my much better gallery from a bunker right across the golden gate

I know alot of explorers who actually don't care too much about taking pictures. The feel of it works just fine, and some will take a few shots here and there as memory aids. It's a cool outlook but not one I can make myself go with...I try to perfect the spoils of the explore. Some people just like being there.

The popup thing bugs the shit out of most people, including me. It's basically the issue that you have to navigate around the thumbnails or they blow up and block the others. So it's incredibly challenging to view each individual picture and it actually makes ALOT of people not even bother looking.
Me, it just causes me to only view the ones that, judging from a tiny view, seem the most interesting. So I miss most pictures.

| | | | Welcome! Don't worry to much about the pics. It's fine to be more into the explore and not the photography. I take tons of photos just for me when I go. I hardly ever post them since the folks that go with are really good at it and mine look look pretty bad in comparison.
BTW that does not mean I am saying that I think that you should not post pics. I love looking at photos from locations whether they are very good or just quick cell phone shots.
A mirage is not an optical illusion. It is a real phenomenon, and one can take photographs of it. The interpretation of the image, however, is up to the fantasy of the human mind.

This one is locked now, I went back about 2 weeks ago. Sometimes during construction they open it though. Luck of the draw. The entrance to the one I lost has been closed up with dirt/cement blocks. But you could get it out.
