Well the EPA seems to think its valid enough to include with references but we'll defer to local expert Therrin's knowledge on this.

http://www.epa.gov...e/trianadoc21a.pdf

Far more likely to find some recent toxic dumping on the north and east side where its been in private hands for decades than in the part still owned by the Houston Channel Inc or left over from WWII.

I don't see how you take what I say doesn't make sense to me, asking for valid sourcing and wanting more supporting documentation as me a "local expert"?

Pardon me for the error of not fully believing EVERY UNTRACEABLE "NEWS" ARTICLE that's presented to me on the internet.

Also, the link you sent is a 9.4MB file titled "Chemical Weapons Movement". I'm not arguing that they get moved. So unless you're quoting a specific part or line from that document, you're not actually arguing anything, you're just linking to a book; which is nice but doesn't really say anything.

My original point was: If you think the ground you're walking on is filled with chemical weapons disposal and you're fine with that, great.

But if you don't know for a fact where anything was buried, or if anything was buried at a specific site, running around claiming it doesn't leave you any legitimacy or proof.

Give a person a match and they'll be warm for a minute, but light them on fire and they'll be warm for the rest of their life. =)

^^ You realize this is mainly a problem if you're out near those bunkers with a bunch of people with shovels, or a backhoe or excavator, right?

**EDIT**

And this is only supposing that they actually buried munitions in the ground around the bunkers, then didn't mark that there was UXO underground, and it somehow got left really shallow.

Over time freezing cycles and rain can unearth ordinance. Who says it was buried proper? Stuff gets dropped or otherwise misappropriated. This has happens on stateside WW1-2 ARMY bases.
Anything goes, keep an open mind, and step softly.

on the left we have a HUGE CONCRETE DOME that encases what was the factory that made "bad war things". on the right is a highschool, and it was there long before the dome was built.
yeah, trust the feds to clean up the mess they made or didnt make..

#5 = ghetto hog trap

#7 black spotting on floor almost looks like mold but might just be water spots and soot

drums! wow where did you come across those drums by the river or up in the industrial park?

(the distinction between hazardous and non hazardous waste is a fine one I mean decon water come on, if its "non hazardous" in the laymens sense of the word why put it in drums seal it up then hide it in someone elses igloo)

nice pics

The term "someone else's igloo" just had me laughing...

The barrels are on the river side of the main road but they are on the North side of everything, a few aisles in.

Why thank ya. We thought it was soot at first too but then when we saw the igloo with the drums, that had us thinking otherwise. The floor was thick with it. And for it to go through our jeans and shoes is weird and kinda creepy to me.

But there was condensation on the ceilings so I'm sure that's why the other floors look spotty.

This is the black shit all over my legs. I was wearing jeans and boots. It didn't penetrate the boots but went right through the jeans.

Interesting. Sounds like Carbon Black. A byproduct created during the oil refining process. It's primary use was in the production of tires and plastics, but was also a component in radar absorbing materials for classified military projects. I knew some people who worked with it at a not to be named refinery in North Central Oklahoma. Their descriptions of the stuff matchs closely with yours. They claimed it would penetrate almost anything, including most masks. Was it somewhat difficult to wash off?. You're probably doomed. Forget I said anything. It's probably ash or mold.

Actually carbon black was my main conclusion and most probable. I work in construction and live in an area heavily populated by refineries. So my manager suggested it. I am not 100% sure that's what it is but so far its been the most likely suspect. For me it was hard to wash off. I had to break out the loofahs and scrub a couple layers of skin off with it.

It was definitely not ash or mold though. ^_^

That implies it penetrated the skin. Carbon wouldn't do that. Sounds like some sort of coal tar based substance, or Houston Black mold. lol.
