|  | | | Recently my mom, who knows of my illegal hobby, told me that one of my favorite places in Ft Worth was going to be razed, and a gas well was going to be put in its place. Thank god mom was wrong. There are two abandoned meat packing plants on the north side of fort worth; the Armour plant and the Swift plant. the Armour plant is owned by Chesapeake Energy and lacks federal protection. The Swift plant is owned by Stockyards Station and does enjoy federal protection. The Armour plant is boring, the Swift is fascinating. Before I found out that it was the Armour plant which was being razed alarm bells and red flags went up in my head and I made a trek out to visit an old friend for what I thought was the last time. Talk about dedication, I left my truck at Occupy Fort Worth in downtown and walked all the way to the swift plant. On the way I picked up a copy of the Fort Worth Startlegram and much to my relief there was an article about the Armour plant being razed. I was already in Stockyards so I figured, what the hell...lets do it anyway. Here are the pics. There are also some images I played with in Photoshop. Comments and critiques are welcomed.
