San Antonio!

Hey everyone,

I will be in San Antonio for the next week, and next weekend is my last free time here. Are there any interesting places in San Antonio that I could maybe check out while I'm here? I've tried looking around a little but I haven't seen much.

Aside from promises and a few friends I've made,
I don't think I'll stay here long.
With ease I leave, before my roots have grown.

riverwalk and the alamo. and a little bar called azarias. its between the alamo and riverwalk... also, do not eat at landerys. over priced and it sucks.

When I say I'm 'clean and sober', it means I've showered and I'm headed to the liquor store.

No seriously, the food is not what you go for.

The waiters insult you.

The food is nasty and greasy.

And you have to have a good sense of sarcastic humor.

Its AMAZING.

I do like their chicken strips though

EDIT: They also make hats for you. Here is a friend of mine's hat when we went. The waitress kept calling him "Princess"

Sounds like an awesome place. Hopefully I'll be down at the Riverwalk this weekend and I'll definitely try to check it out. I love places like those.

Access to the best sites has changed in recent years. The Longhorn Quarry off of Wursbach Pkwy is pretty awesome but increasingly difficult to get into. Still doable however. The Perl is impossible and the Lone Star has been turned into condos. Woodlawn Hills Nursing home is pretty sweet but I have no idea what access looks like these days... and it's not in the best part of town.

I drove by Woodlawn Nursing Home the other day, a few months ago they put up a fence ALL around it, and recently they have been tearing it down.

Aw, shucks. I don't think I could've made a trip anywhere anyways. I'm out of time here and leaving very soon.

I don't think I'll stay here long.

Sounds like the Ed Debevic's of Texas.

Oh good, my slow clap processor made it into this thing.
