| | UER Crimefighting, have you made any leads in cases? < on 11/23/2011 4:14 AM >
| | | many times, we explorers come across things during our trips that are beneficial to the police. One person I talked to who is not in this community found a body in a freezer when he was exploring. (It was a cold case) Other times we run into meth labs and such. And I have heard of explorers playing a part in investigating arson. I am wondering have you found any evidence in crimes while you were exploring?

| | | I find tons of evidence of crimes, but usually the guilty party includes the government and the police, so there's not much to do.

you are not the only one my friend. assuming they were not stolen... a simple "run the numbers" type fon call and my collection would... well fuck ethics when it comes to guns, ya know- to keep them out of the hands of no-good gangsters and small children.

More like getting interrogated on suspicion of arson in my case. Apparently "I like old abandoned buildings" is not a credible reason to walk across crime scene tape- who knew?
The sign said "Anybody caught trespassin will be shot on sight" So I jumped on the fence and I yelled at the house, "Hey! What gives you the right?" http://www.flickr.com/photos/evman/ |

| | | interesting thread and so here is my vague piece on it. twas about 2006 or early 2007 when I made my way into this decprit lumber yard. In full and COMPLETE keeping with your theme, I can say that I discovered the place was a 'chop shop', and if I felt like it I could go fetch my old pics of cars in there, and later news reports about the neighbors suspicions about the place after it burned to the ground. But I went and fetched this one old pic instead...and the contents of it threw me for a loop for a long time. This is only one BLOTCH of militant anti American/pro islam materials I found through out the building. I was newish to UEing at the time, and I discussed my 'sploits with coworkers and neighbors etc. This included "the UPS guy" who came to my workplace twice a day and visited with us in the back room. Let me show the pic before I discuss it further:
The book showing the clear pic of a man's face I took with me. I brought it to work and showed it as ONE example of these PILES of Islamic items in the place. MANY people urged me to contact the FBI about this, and I am aware that on a FORUM anyone could say "contact the FBI about WHAT...it's just literature". And so: I did nothing. I have always had a sneaking hunch that the UPS guy DID indeed send the FBI in there as he knew an exact FBI name he was urging me to contact. soon the entire place burned to the ground, and all this stuff was lost. Early this year I sold my house out east where I had that one book I pilfered. I looked everywhere for it and could not find it. Thats about it. All I am saying is...there were clear things written all over the building like "death to Amerika" etc...which doesn't sound very interesting unless you combine it with piles and piles of books and posters that had to be ordered from London. I will always wonder if I "should have done something." As I left my home years later, and I had weeks of waiting around while not employed I seriously would have gone to the FBI if I could have found the damn book. it would have been a bit late, but fingerprints never die. I still find it wierd that i could not find this book when in the midst of endless packing of my books. ...........whatever. Edit to add another pic:
Final edit, sorry this is OLDE stuff..to add a pic of vehicles in the building...this came up in the front page news after it burned down with people speculating on cars coming and going, and in keeping with this thread's theme I knew DAMN WELL that vehicles came and went frequently: [last edit 12/13/2011 3:14 AM by denvereen - edited 2 times]

| | | I've found some things, I know the headmaster of a previous school was forcing the kids to donate extra money or they'd not be allowed back. These kids also were not exactly legal immigrants.
