Doesn't look like much from the road, does it? Nestled in a gulch over a mile from the road, miles further from the nearest settlement.

13

It was so surreal coming upon this compound. Every building here was actively used until the early 1970s, but it as since been untouched by people—the Ford Fairlane still parked by the garage. I don't think cattle even graze the land any longer. The only sounds were the the rustling grass and a shrieking metal gate swaying in the wind.

14

Horse/hay barn and granary? The elevator is still parked against the building.

15

Chicken house, garage, farmhouse, and cellar.

16

Angry windows.

Rather substantial 5-bedroom brick bungalow for the middle of nowhere.

Nice photos! I'm loving #4.

It's not where it goes, it's where it can lead you to.

All of these are awesome. The higher perspectives in #1 and #4 are great not something you see everyday in old farm house sets. This has to be one of your best sets of the year so far.

I feel like I am in ...well... the great plains ;) Posted by willskith Unfortunately, due to overuse of tonemapping, photography was gradually ruined and now stands with halos.

Loved every single one of these, you truly are one of the most talented around here.

Did you ride a bicycle to this location as well?

That little car you're standing near, I think thats a Hillman Estate. Very rare in the U.S.
